Ask Josey is operated by Gongoozler LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have when using Ask Josey.
You may use Josey as a guest without creating an account. You may also create a free account to save your conversations and continue them later.
We believe privacy and trust go together. We collect and use information only as needed to operate, secure, and provide Josey and its features.
Information We Collect
Account information. If you create a Josey account, we collect your email address. Your password is protected using a one-way password hash rather than being stored in readable form.
Conversation information. When you are logged in, Josey may save your conversations so you can return to them later. Saved information may include your messages, Josey’s responses, conversation titles, and related timestamps.
Guest conversations. You may use Josey without creating an account. Guest conversations are not saved to your Josey conversation history.
Session and technical information. We use limited technical information, including session information and cookies, to keep you logged in, operate account features, protect the service, and help prevent abuse.
How We Use Your Information
We use information collected through Josey to provide and operate the service, respond to your questions, and improve your experience.
If you create an account, we use your email address and session information to authenticate you, keep you logged in, save and retrieve your conversations, and provide account features.
We use your email address to send password-reset messages when you request them. We do not use password-reset emails for marketing.
We may use limited technical information to protect Josey, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot problems, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
We may also process information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or protect the rights, safety, and security of Ask Josey, our users, or others.
AI Service Providers
To generate Josey’s responses, the text you submit may be sent to third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI, for processing. These providers process information as necessary to generate and return a response and operate under their own privacy and security practices.
If Josey uses web search or another external tool to help answer a question, information necessary to perform that request may also be processed by the relevant service provider.
If you use voice input, your browser or device may use its own speech-recognition service to convert your speech into text before the text is sent to Josey. How that speech recognition is handled may depend on your browser, device, and service provider.
Your Josey account password is not sent to AI providers. Passwords are handled separately by Josey’s account system and are stored using a one-way password hash.
Cookies and Sessions
Josey uses a session cookie to support account features and keep you securely logged in. The session cookie helps Josey recognize your browser during your visit and across later visits while your session remains active.
The session cookie is used for authentication, security, and account functionality. It is not intended for advertising.
If you use Josey as a guest, you do not need to create an account. Some limited technical information may still be processed as necessary to operate and protect the service.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Disabling cookies may prevent account login and other account features from working properly.
Password Reset Emails
If you request a password reset, Josey uses your account email address to send you a password-reset link. The reset link contains a temporary security token and is intended only for resetting your password. Password-reset links expire after a limited period and cannot be reused after a successful reset.
We do not use password-reset emails for advertising or marketing.
Data Retention
If you create an account, we retain your account information and saved conversations while your account remains active, unless you delete specific conversations or delete your account.
Password-reset tokens are temporary and are removed after they are used or expire.
Some limited technical or security information may be retained for a reasonable period when necessary to protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or resolve technical issues.
Deleting Conversations or Your Account
If you have a Josey account, you can delete individual saved conversations from your conversation history.
You can also delete your Josey account. Deleting your account removes the account and its associated saved conversations from Josey’s account database.
After an account is deleted, active login sessions associated with that account are invalidated. Some limited information may be retained when required for security, legal, or operational purposes.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you.
You may delete individual saved conversations directly from your Josey account. You may also delete your Josey account through the account controls.
If you have a privacy request that you cannot complete through Josey’s account controls, you may contact us at support@askjosey.com.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain privacy requests. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
Third-Party Links
Josey may include links to websites or services operated by third parties. We do not control those third parties or their privacy practices. If you follow a link to another website or service, we encourage you to review its privacy policy before providing personal information.
Information Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information handled by Josey.
Account passwords are protected using one-way password hashing. Login sessions use secure session cookies, and we use measures such as rate limiting and access controls to help protect accounts and the service from unauthorized use.
No method of transmitting or storing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Legal Disclosure
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Ask Josey, Gongozler LLC, our users, or others; investigate fraud or abuse; or protect the operation of the service.

Welcome to Ask Josey. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ask Josey website, services, features, and AI assistant (“Josey,” the “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Gongoozler LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
By accessing or using Ask Josey, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Ask Josey Provides
Ask Josey is an artificial intelligence service designed to provide information, explanations, writing assistance, research support, practical guidance, planning help, and other general assistance for work and everyday life.
Josey may use artificial intelligence models, search tools, third-party information sources, and other technologies to generate responses.
AI-generated information can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular situation. You are responsible for evaluating information before relying on it or acting on it.
2. Josey Is Not a Substitute for Professional Advice
Ask Josey provides general information and assistance. It does not replace qualified professional advice.
You should not rely solely on Josey for decisions requiring professional judgment, including decisions involving medical care, mental health, legal matters, financial matters, taxes, investments, safety, emergencies, or other high-consequence situations.

3. Guest Use and Accounts
You may use certain Ask Josey features without creating an account.
Creating an account may allow you to save conversations, return to previous conversations, and use additional account-related features.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating or maintaining an account.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, contact us promptly.
4. Saved Conversations
When you use Ask Josey while signed into an account, conversations may be stored so that you can access and continue them later.
Guest conversations may not be saved to an account and may not be recoverable after the session ends.
You should not use Ask Josey as your only storage location for information you need to preserve permanently.
You may delete individual conversations and may request or use available account controls to delete your account, subject to our Privacy Policy and any retention required by law or legitimate operational needs.
5. Your Information and Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, and handling of personal information is described in the Ask Josey Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that information you submit may be processed by service providers and artificial intelligence providers necessary to operate Josey.
Please avoid submitting passwords, financial account credentials, Social Security numbers, highly sensitive identification information, or other information that is unnecessary for your conversation with Josey.
6. Your Content
You retain your rights in content you submit to Ask Josey.
You give Gongoozler LLC the limited rights necessary to receive, process, store, transmit, and otherwise use that content to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit the content you provide.
You may not submit content in a way that violates another person's rights or applicable law.
7. AI-Generated Responses
Josey's responses are generated using artificial intelligence and may vary even when similar questions are asked.
We do not guarantee that responses will be:
accurate, complete, or current;
appropriate for every user or situation;
free from errors or omissions;
identical when a question is repeated; or
suitable as the sole basis for an important decision.
When Josey provides sources, links, citations, or research results, you should review those sources directly when accuracy matters.
Third-party websites and information are controlled by their respective owners. Gongoozler LLC is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, security, or content of third-party websites.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Ask Josey to:
violate applicable laws or regulations;
infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
introduce malware or interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
automate abusive or excessive requests that disrupt the Service;
use the Service to facilitate fraud, exploitation, abuse, or other unlawful conduct; or
attempt to bypass security, usage, or access controls.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, third parties, or Gongoozler LLC.
9. Intellectual Property
The Ask Josey name, Josey character and presentation, website design, branding, logos, software, original text, graphics, and other materials provided by Gongoozler LLC are owned by or licensed to Gongoozler LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit those materials.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your own content to Gongoozler LLC.
10. Service Availability and Changes
We want Ask Josey to be dependable, but no online or AI service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, internet outages, third-party services, security measures, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may modify, add, remove, or discontinue features as Ask Josey develops.
We do not guarantee that any particular feature, AI model, third-party provider, or capability will always remain available.
11. Free and Future Paid Services
Ask Josey may offer services without charge and may introduce paid services, subscriptions, usage limits, or premium features in the future.
If a paid service is introduced, applicable prices and material payment terms will be presented before you agree to purchase it.
We will not charge you merely because you created a free account unless you separately agree to a paid offering.
12. Account Suspension or Termination
You may stop using Ask Josey at any time.
Where account deletion functionality is available, you may use it to delete your account.
Gongoozler LLC may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of misuse, security concerns, violations of these Terms, legal requirements, or conduct that threatens the Service or other users.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ask Josey is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Gongoozler LLC does not make warranties that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, accurate, or suitable for every purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gongoozler LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use Ask Josey.
Gongoozler LLC will not be responsible for losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated content when independent verification would reasonably be appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gongoozler LLC and its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived, disputes concerning these Terms or the Service may be brought in courts having appropriate jurisdiction in Delaware.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Ask Josey develops or as legal, operational, or technological requirements change.
When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
Your continued use of Ask Josey after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Ask Josey Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a particular feature or service, constitute the agreement governing your use of Ask Josey.
